ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Maxfield Larson, though most people tend to just call me Max.

I’m a game artist from Vermont with a B.S. in Game Art from Champlain College. My work focuses on concept art, character design, UI/HUD design, and visual development for games. I’m especially drawn to projects where art, story, and player experience come together to build worlds that feel alive.

I was born in New York City and grew up surrounded by Vermont’s mountains and forests. I started making art at an early age, first with markers and pencils, then as I grew I sought out other mediums, later through sculpture, metalwork, and digital works. As I grew up, I was drawn to games because of how they allow for a level of interaction and immersion in the setting that you can’t usually reach with other media like books or movies.

I’m currently looking for entry-level opportunities in game art, with a focus on concept art, character art, UI/HUD design, and 2D production art. I’m also continuing to develop personal projects that explore worldbuilding, lore, and narrative-driven game design.

Thanks for visiting my portfolio. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect or talk about a project. And check back as I continue to work on new projects to add to my portfolio.
